We Started In A Facebook Group. We Built A Legend.
In early 2017, Ken "Spanky" Moskowitz was in a private Facebook group for marketers. One guy posted ad copy that wasn't working. The group's response was mostly variations of "yeah, that sucks."
Ken rewrote it. Posted it in the comments.
The inbox exploded.
Within weeks, Ken had a new business. He named it Ad Zombies because he was bingeing "The Walking Dead" at the time. The tagline wrote itself: "Bringing ad copy back to life."
What followed was a sprint most businesses dream about. Seven figures in under 700 days. Over 40,000 businesses served across every continent except Antarctica. A team of writers working globally.
Then came the pivot.
Ken had built Ad Zombies around execution. Writing ads. Lots of them. But the businesses that grew the fastest weren't the ones that just got better ads. They were the ones that fixed their marketing at the strategy level. The brand level. The positioning level.
Ad Zombies grew up. From copywriting company to growth advisory.
Ken “Spanky” Moskowitz
Forty years in advertising. Ten Super Bowl ads. Campaigns for Coca-Cola, Frito-Lay, the NFL, the NBA, Samuel Adams, and 40,000 small businesses. Over $460 billion in revenue generated for clients. His 100,000th ad in late 2022.
He started his career in 1985. He got his start in radio in New York, then moved into creative media. He's written for brands on every continent. He's terrified of zombies. He named his company after them anyway. That's the kind of person he is.
He runs BAM Mastermind on Thursdays. He takes a maximum of 10 Fractional CMO clients. He wrote a book about Gary Vaynerchuk and value creation. And he still believes the best marketing is the kind that makes people stop whatever they're doing.

What We Believe
Boring marketing is the most expensive mistake a business can make. Not because it offends anyone. Because it disappears. And invisible businesses don’t grow.
“Great brands aren’t born. They’re reanimated.”
